Evogen Elite’s Performance at the 2024 Mr. Olympia
Oct 16, 2024
This weekend, we celebrated the 60th Mr. Olympia competition in Las Vegas, and it definitely did not disappoint. With athletes traveling in from all over the world, the bodybuilding stage was set for another spectacular 2024 Mr. Olympia weekend. Evogen Elite Athletes came ready to do battle and brought their best packages to the stage.
At the end of the night, Evogen Elite showed why they are some of the best athletes across the globe, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication, hard work, and determination to be one of the best in their divisions.
Let’s unpack everything that took place this weekend with the Evogen Elite athletes at the 2024 Mr. Olympia.
The 2024 Mr. Olympia Battle for the Sandow
Going into the show, everyone expected Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford to battle it out. Hany Rambod got both Evogen Elite Athletes into fantastic shape and looked good at both the pre-judging and night snow. When the names were called at the end of the evening, Hadi placed second, with Derek right behind him in third.
Both men brought impressive size and conditioning — as expected. During their individual routines, the crowd erupted as fans from all over were wowed by their physiques. Hadi showcased his classic conditioning, where he was dry, shredded, and full, while Derek showcased a larger-than-life physique that left people dumbfounded as to how someone his size could put on that type of quality mass while still being conditioned.
With a full off-season ahead of them, you can expect Rambod, Choopan, and Lunsford to put in the work to bring their best again to the 2025 Mr. Olympia stage. When Hadi and Derek are in the lineup, no one is safe on that stage, and you can expect to see them force the rest of the competitors to earn their placings.
We’re incredibly proud of these two men and what they do for the sport of bodybuilding. They are great ambassadors, and you can expect them to push each other this off-season as they have in previous, forcing them to push their bodies to the limit of what’s humanly possible to wow the judges in 2025.
Also, in the 2024 Mr. Olympia men’s open for team Evogen Elite was Mohamed Foda. While he didn’t place in the top 10 this year, Foda made some significant improvements to his physique, working on some areas that needed focus, and he can’t hang his head with his placing. In time, his physique will continue to improve and so will his placings.
Evogen Elite Took Home the 2024 Mr. Olympia Figure Division Win
When Cydney Gillon is in a lineup, all eyes are on her. Taking home the win for the 2024 Mr. Olympia Figure division solidified her among the likes of Ronnie Coleman and Lenda Murray, with eight Olympia titles to their names.
The win for Gillon marks her place in Olympia history, and following her win, she sadly announced her official retirement from the sport. While this may be the last time we see Gillon on a competitive stage, don’t expect to miss her in the industry. Cydney has every intention of being at shows and on social media for her fans, continuing to motivate the next generation of Figure athletes.
We at Evogen Nutrition would like to congratulate Cydney on all of her accomplishments in the industry. Having you as a part of the Evogen Elite Team has been uplifting and delightful. Your hard work will never go unnoticed, and your dedication to your sport will forever be engrained in bodybuilding history as an eight-time Olympia champion and someone who has done so much for the sport that words simply can’t describe what you’ve meant to the Figure division.
We wish you nothing but the best in your retirement, and we’re sure you’re already back in the gym training with the same intensity you always give.
The Bikini Division Brought the Fire & a Win for Evogen Elite
To say that Evogen Elite Athlete Lauralie Chapados worked her butt off would be an oxymoron as she brought a package from the backside that left the judges and fans breathless. Chapados has been cleaning house at the Arnold Classic, but at the 2024 Mr. Olympia, she brought a physique that was undeniably the best on that stage.
Taking home her first Olympia Bikini title, Chapados solidified her spot in Olympia history after taking home second-place finishes in previous years. Hany and Chapados had a plan this year, and everything worked out as planned, thanks to Lauralie’s commitment and dedication to her training and nutrition.
We would like to congratulate Lauralie on her exceptional 2024 Mr. Olympia win, and we are extremely excited to see what the future holds. You can expect Chapados to come back next year and defend her title against the best Bikini competitors in the world. We are proud of everything you’ve accomplished and hope you soak in this Olympia title. Well deserved, Lauralie!
The Fitness Division Put on Quite the Show
One of the most exciting divisions has always been Fitness. With women competing not only for the best physique on stage but also for the competitor who can put together the best routine.
Jaclyn Baker of Evogen Elite brought the total package and gave the entire lineup a run for their money, finishing her 2024 Mr. Olympia showing with an honorable second-place finish. Her routine was a performance many will never forget, and her physique shined in a very deep competitor list.
Eyeing up 2025, you can expect Baker to continue improving her physique and come into the 2025 Mr. Olympia ready to contend for the top spot.
Women’s Bodybuilding Did Not Disappoint
Team Evogen Elite Athletes Theresa Ivancik and Kristina Mendoza were both placed in the top ten, with Mendoza placing sixth and Ivancik rounding out the top 10. Both women looked conditioned and muscular, with clear improvements over previous years.
The women’s bodybuilding division is stacked with mounds of muscle that forces athletes to come in with their best package. Both women showed why they are two of the best female bodybuilders in the sport, and we can’t wait to start the off-season and get them ready for next year.
The Wellness Division Gets Better Every Year
The Wellness division is one that many competitors were looking for as some women have extreme musculature from the waist down and more of a Physique athlete upper body. For years, this put these women in a limbo of whether they wanted to compete in Women’s Bodybuilding or tone it back a little for Physique. Now, they have their rightful home in Wellness for everyone to be entertained.
This division is extremely close, with the best of the best standing shoulder-to-shoulder, where the judges are forced to look extremely closely in order to put their scores down on the scorecards.
Evogen Elite Athletes Lili Dong and Natasha Peay battled it out on stage, and while both placed outside of the top 10, they made definitive improvements to their physique that can only mean they’re going to be a threat come the 2025 competition season.
