24X Olympia winning coach Hany Rambod talks about the difference between bodyweight and weight abdominals exercises. If you tend to have small obliques and they dont tend to grow you can do more weighted exercises to get your abs to pop.
If your ancillary muscles in your midsection tend to fire, then be careful adding weight to your abdominal exercises. Why do you need to be careful? Because you dont want your midsection to get wider.
Pro Tip: If you have a naturally really thin waist and you want your abs to pop, you can go more extreme by adding weights to your abdominal training.
